Hello, my name is Tucker! I’m a sweet, neutered 7 year old yellow Lab who was used for breeding until CILRA rescued me. All my life, I was kept outside in a kennel with many other dogs and unfortunately was not treated very kindly. But like most Labs, I forgave that human and am now learning about Love & Kindness, and that being an inside family dog is a really great thing. When I arrived in my new foster home, I did not understand what a warm home was – with food, toys, new sounds and furniture. I was afraid of loud noises and sudden movements, but in just a few weeks time, I have slowly settled in and am learning that not everything is scary. My foster mom says I am a very sweet, handsome boy who loves to be part of the action now. I just adore all humans, children and other dogs! I’m not a fan of car rides or stairs right now, but I know those things will get easier as time goes on and my forever family works with me. I would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time, and another canine buddy to hang around with when my humans are gone. I am still learning about house rules and am doing really well! I am a big, gentle boy who loves to sit by my human and get lots of loving. I am being fostered in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
