Tiana, named after Disney’s Creole princess in the movie, “The Princess and the Frog”, is looking for her happily-ever-after. She’s a black Lab mix who is 7 months old and weighs about 50 lbs. Tiana has been spayed and had her first round of puppy shots. This princess does not require a palace to live in, but just a home with her own patch of grass. Her favorite thing to do is lay in the grass gator-style, completely flat with her muzzle flat to the ground – just like an alligator! Like any good princess, Tiana is gentle, kind, and has good social skills. She wakes up her foster mom and brother each morning with kisses! She gets along well with other dogs; cats are an unknown. She is learning basic commands and already knows “come,” “sit,” “down,” “no,” and “up.” She’s a very fast learner! She rings a bell on the door when she needs to go out, and doesn’t pull when she’s on a leash. She’s still in her puppy phase, but has wonderful house manners and behaves herself when she’s alone & uncrated. Tiana has a very laid-back and easy-going personality. She is very gentle meeting all the neighborhood kids waiting for the bus. Everyone who has met her is impressed with her calm disposition and lovely temperament. This little gal has all the traits we love to see in a young Lab –loving, sweet, smart, and just a bit silly! She’s being fostered in Monticello, IL.
