Osa (Spanish for ‘the bear’) is a sweet 7-year-old English chocolate Lab. She was surrendered by her family as they could no longer afford to take care of her. She lived with 2 cats, 2 dogs and 5 children!
Osa loves going on walks and playing fetch. She will throw the ball herself if no one else will do it for her. Her foster family says she is a loving companion and is content to lay at your feet. She gets along with cats, kids and dogs. She is house trained and crate trained (but doesn’t need one as she is content to sleep on her bed while you are gone or by your bed at night and does not get into any mischief).
Osa was heartworm positive and has successfully finished her treatment. She is ready for her forever home. She does need a home without stairs as she has some arthritis in her knees from an old injury. She doesn’t have any trouble running, chasing her ball or getting in a car, but steps are challenging. Her foster mother says that ‘this one will be hard to give up’. Osa is being fostered in Westfield, IN.
