Misty is a 5 year old, 70 pound silver Lab. She is a retired breeder mama, and is a healthy, well-cared for girl who is settling into being a family pet very well. Her foster home includes two boys (age 2 & 5), a grumpy yet friendly 11 year old female Lab, a barn cat, and cattle. She has befriended all of them from day one. Misty is fantastic on a leash, has taken to house life quickly (no accidents past day two, will sleep in crate or loose), rides great in a vehicle, plays when the foster family plays, and relaxes when they do. She does need a traditionally-fenced yard. Misty attended family Christmases and stole the show – everyone wanted to take her home! Misty has likely only lived in a kennel setting with other dogs. She does not exhibit separation anxiety from her foster family dogs or people, but is most comfortable with one of them around. She would benefit from having another dog in the home. With the perfect family ready to earn her trust and continue helping her experience additional “firsts”, Misty will excel anywhere. This gem of a Lab is being fostered in Lafayette, IN.
