Outside boy meets in-house world. Don’t be deterred by the white on that sweet mug. Max is a 3-4 year old 65 lb. black Lab having the time of his life being an inside dog. He is current on all vaccines and is neutered. We don’t know how Max is with cats, but he gets along great with other dogs and loves a game of Chase Me. He needs a home with a traditionally-fenced yard so he can get plenty of exercise, and slightly older children just because he’s still learning about personal space. Max has yet to meet a ball he doesn’t love and in his unique way will play with them by himself or place them on higher level surfaces. His foster mom’s raised garden looks like it will have a fine harvest of tennis balls. He is crate-trained, but doesn’t need it as he will just curl up in his bed and wait for you to come home. Max does know how to Sit on command and will plop himself down quickly for a treat. He is highly food-motivated, but is not a counter surfer. He does the cutest dance when it’s feeding time, sometimes on two legs walking backwards! Max is learning that car rides and leashes mean something fun is going to happen. He is also learning how to cuddle, as he wants the loving but has not quite figured out how to not do it awkwardly. It’s so cute! Max will make someone a very lucky person when they adopt him. He is such a sweet and loving boy with so much potential. He is being fostered in Lafayette, IN.

Adopting a Lab can be a wonderful experience. Your new dog will need lots of love, adequate exercise and attention. Keep in mind that dog ownership may include additional costs for training, grooming, and health care beyond annual vaccines and monthly preventatives. It’s a lifetime commitment!
