Hi, I am Lanna, a beautiful two year old red fox Lab mix who weighs 40 lbs. I may be smaller than most Labs but my heart is bigger than the state of Texas. I love everyone to the moon! I look forward to walking to the bus stop to meet my foster’s grandchildren as they get off the bus. They always greet me with a hug and kiss, and I love them back. I am a very calm and laid back girl who loves to snuggle. Sometimes when I fall asleep resting my head in my foster mom’s lap, it’s feels like I am in heaven! I love to go for walks but could use a little leash training as I get into those wonderful outdoor smells and have to follow them. I am crate trained but do not like going into it as I know my foster is leaving and that is difficult for me. I do not like being left alone so I would be best in a home where someone is home most of the day. I have good house manners and do not counter surf or go in the garbage. Like all Labs, I love to eat, especially treats. I am very gentle when taking them from your hand and promise to never make your fingers disappear. I like other dogs but a gradual introduction is best. Right now my foster mom has a 4 month old puppy that thinks I am her own personal pillow, but I don’t mind. My foster mom says I would make a great companion dog as I never leave her side. Oh and here is another bonus, I don’t shed…That’s right! Whatever I am mixed with was a non-shedding breed and I inherited that enviable trait, so put away the vacuum! If you want a sweet, gentle, loyal girl, then look no further! I am a beautiful “redhead” who is being fostered in a northwest suburb of Chicago.
