World….meet 4-year old Lance (a.k.a Lancelot). He’s a beautiful chocolate Lab mix with a tiny bit of something else (maybe Golden?) thrown in. He’s on the smaller side, weighing just 60 lbs. He’s been neutered and is current on his vaccinations. Lance is an absolute sweetie who is still figuring out what being a dog really means. He was picked up as a stray and stayed in a shelter for almost a month. He soaks up attention like a sponge. We think Lance has lived in a home at some point, because he’s housebroken (yay), and is crated overnight with no issues (double-yay). Lance walks well on a leash with no pulling, loves other dogs and cats and children (triple+ yay). He’s a quick learner, and enjoys running after a ball more than bringing it back. Lance loves human attention, and is adorably awkward when you’re scratching him. He doesn’t know if he should stand still, roll on his back, or ask for more. When you move to another room, he’ll follow and plop back down just so he can hang with you. Lance is a mellow guy who wants a family to love! He’s being fostered in Iuka, IL.

Adopting a Lab can be a wonderful experience. Your new dog will need lots of love, adequate exercise and attention. Keep in mind that dog ownership may include additional costs for training, grooming, and health care beyond annual vaccines and monthly preventatives. It’s a lifetime commitment!
