Hi my name is Josie! Even at a year and six months old, I am still very much a puppy. When I’m not able to be watched, my foster family keeps me in my crate, which I don’t mind. I also only potty outside. When I am left on my own I tend to get into mischief. I needed a foreign object removed from my intestines and my previous owners could not afford the surgery. I DO love to chew on toys and I should always be supervised with them. My foster mom is working on leash training with me, however I do need more time and patience. If my new family does not have experience with training, I would benefit from obedience training. I am only 50 pounds but I think I am a small lap dog. I have no concept of personal space and I LOVE being with my people. That being said, small children are not a good idea, especially because I love chewing on small toys! Kids over 10 are great though! I am quiet and would appreciate people being quiet with me – I do not like loud noises or people yelling at me. I respond very well with praise and love. I also get along with dogs of all shapes and sizes – cats are unknown. If I sound like a good fit for you, please contact CILRA and open your home to me!! I’m being fostered in Indianapolis, IN.
