This is Jack, a neutered 4-year old black Lab who weighs 80 lbs. He’s super friendly, and gets along well with his two Lab foster brothers. He was originally found as a stray, then treated for heartworms, and is now ready for his Forever Family. He’d love to keep someone company who is home most of the day.  He’s very smart, learns quickly, and shows great promise with positive training techniques.

A fenced-in yard would be perfect for this boy, as he always wants to check out wildlife. He’s also been known to bolt out an open door, so the security of a traditional fence would be ideal, as would having older children to pal around with. He is crate-trained (after a bit of vocalizing when he first goes in), but sleeps on a dog bed near his foster at night. He rides very well in a car and loves long walks on a leash. We’ve not seen him around cats, but have been told he is okay with them. Jack is being fostered on the southwest side of Chicago.
