Meet Iris, a friendly, energetic 1-1/2 year old white Lab who is looking for her forever home. She’s been vaccinated, spayed, and is learning to be more comfortable in a crate (although she’s not crated at night). Iris is a very social Lab who loves giving hugs & kisses. She lived with 2 young children in her previous home, but can be a bit rambunctious. She would benefit from having a fenced yard to play and exercise in. She’s a quick learner, and already knows Stay, Down, Paw, Sit, and Up. She would enjoy having another dog to play with; we don’t know how she is around cats. Iris needs a family who is very active and can take her on regular walks and/or runs (runs are her absolute favorites!). In addition to having a high need for exercise, Iris may also have a strong prey drive, slowly stalking any birds she sees. She gets excited when meeting new people, and is learning to not jump up to greet them. Iris is still a young, bouncy pup and is learning good manners; her forever family will need to work on continued obedience training. She’s being fostered in Monticello, IL.
