Dale – FOSTER HOME OR ADOPTER NEEDED!

Dale is a gorgeous, 4 year old, 100+ lb. yellow Lab whose family knows they can’t give him the training, exercise, and attention he needs and deserves. Dale is neutered and up to date on all his shots, crate-trained, housebroken, good with cats, good with children who are older (just because of his size & exuberance), and has been well cared for by his family. He’s also been trained to an invisible fence. Dale is a very friendly Lab, especially around people. He hasn’t had many chances to be around other dogs, but he’d probably do great with a well-socialized, laid-back/neutral dog rather than one who is dominant. Dale knows a few basic commands, but needs reinforcement and continued obedience training. Dale loves attention, and warms up immediately to new people. He takes treats fairly gently for a guy his size. He also enjoys being brushed and fussed over. Dale has a strong need for exercise and interaction with people – he settles in his crate when his family is gone. He is exceedingly sweet, good-natured, and smart. His ideal spot will be with a family who is home a good deal of the time, experienced with handling large dogs, and who has the time and patience to help Dale reach his full potential…which is enormous! Dale is currently located in west-central Indiana. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting Dale, please contact Jordan Koehler at jkoehler@saintmarys.edu.
