Meet Daisy! If “sweetest dog ever” was a breed, Daisy would be purebred. She is, however, a registered, purebred, beautiful, great-natured American Lab. Daisy (Daisy girl, Sweets, and Munchkin) just turned 5 and weighs just over 100 lbs. (although she doesn’t look it). She is agile, super healthy, and loves to be with her people. Daisy is happiest when out for a long walk, playing keep-away with squeaker toys and hanging out with family. Her foster family thinks she’s one of the best ‘true companions’ they’ve ever fostered. She comes when called, knows sit, down, stay, shake and come and still loves to play and jump around like a puppy – which means she will thrive with an active owner (walks, playtime, learning, hikes, park-time, dog parks for fetch, etc.). A fenced yard would be great for this girl. She’s leash-trained, housebroken, and will go in a crate but doesn’t need one – she’s fully trusted in the house.
As beautiful and almost perfect as she is, she runs, tugs and takes treats so enthusiastically and might not be best for a family with toddlers. She gets along with other dogs, but doesn’t play with them at all, and gets a bit grumpy when they try. If your dog is doggie playful and you’re hoping for a companion, Daisy may not be the best fit. Her perfect place would be as a single dog, or possibly with another dog that has no interest in playing with her or competing for her playtime or space on the bed!
Daisy is extremely healthy, has had all vaccinations, is spayed and heartworm negative. She is fostered in Crown Point, Indiana.
