Cappy is a 1 yr old female chocolate Lab. She is very energetic, loves to run, use her nose, and play. She’s a bit shy at first, especially with males, but then warms up and really likes to be with her people/person. Cappy is an on-the-floor snuggler. She is spayed, wire-crate trained, and also doing well with potty training and sleeps through the night in her crate. Her ‘Easy-Walk’ front attachment harness works well, too. She’s a fence-climber, and will need a 5-6 foot traditional fence. Cappy is learning manners at doorways – her person exits & enters first, she sits after going out on leash to receive a treat and have her harness removed. She’s also learning crate etiquette – not to rush out, but waits for release. She rides well in a wire crate in a vehicle. Cappy has done great with nail trimming and bathing. She has a strong chase instinct, so should not be in a home with other small animals (little dogs, rabbits, cats, etc.). Her foster Mom has not observed her around young children yet. As a smart young pup, Cappy will benefit from patient, consistent obedience training. She is being fostered in Crown Point, IN.
