My name is Bear and I am an 8-year-old beautiful chocolate Lab. I was found as a stray by a nice family who wanted to keep me, but they already had three dogs and their HOA would not allow four. So, they called CILRA to find a new home for me. I am a happy guy, I always have a smile on my face, and just want to be next to my people. I am good with cats and I love other dogs. I am a big (about 80 pounds) fun, goofy guy. I have arthritis in my hips so I am on medication (which is helping me a lot!) and have started physical underwater treadmill therapy program to build up my muscles. It is SO much fun and my therapist loves me. Because of my arthritis, I don’t go up a long flight of stairs very fast, but I love to go for short walks and sniff around the back yard and be with people. I am ready to be adopted! I am in my second week of PT at the VCA vet hospital in Fishers, IN. It would be great if a foster home or a Foster-To-Adopt in that area would foster me for the next 5 weeks and take me to PT once a week. I also love to take walks to help build up my muscles. I know I’m an older dog but I have lots of love to give and I’m very handsome! I’m currently being fostered in Indianapolis, IN.
