This is 6 ½ year old Angel, and she totally lives up to her name. Her Foster Dad says this girl is as sweet and gentle as any Lab he’s ever met and a dozen neighbors are standing in line to give her glowing references. Angel came to CILRA from a loving family that could no longer care for her. She simply needed more exercise and medical care than could be provided. Angel is diabetic and needs to be on low carbohydrate food as well have an insulin injection with each meal. She has been fully Vet-checked (paid for by CILRA) and has no other know medical issues. Outside of routine veterinary care, her new family will need to budget for insulin, syringes, and a semiannual glucose test. In the short time she’s been with her foster family (and on medication), she’s put on four pounds and now weighs 52 lbs. – she could still stand to gain a few more. Her strength and stamina have dramatically improved since coming into CILRA. This ANGEL would be a good fit for any family. She is gentle and sweet with adults, children, and she greets other dogs with respect (she is not submissive or dominant). She previously lived with parents who were seniors, a cat, and was frequently visited by children and grandchildren. Angel is being fostered on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
