Volunteer Opportunities - Help Needed:

CILRA Minnesota Chapter	Great News! CILRA is just starting a chapter in Minnesota. It will be based just north of the Twin Cities. We need foster homes in and around St. Paul & Minneapolis and in Wisconsin along the Minnesota border(west central). For more information about fostering in Minnesota call our toll-free number 888-882-1900, and someone from Minnesota will contact you.
Foster Home	Fostering a lab for CILRA can be work, but it can also be the most rewarding work you can do to help the Labrador breed. The more fosters CILRA has, the more Labs we can help. For more informaiton on our foster program, please click here to email your mailing address to CILRA. We have a need for foster homes in Indiana and the Greater Chicago area.
Fundraising Coordinator	CILRA is looking for a volunteer to coordinate our fundraising activities.  This person would execute projects that CILRA currently is doing, as well as work on new ideas being considered and bring in fresh fundraising project plans to be considered.  A small committee could be established to offer support to this person. 2007 Petfest

On a very hot October day CILRA volunteers turned out to host our booth at the Indy PetFest at the Gilmer Dog Park in Indianapolis.  Who would guess it would be 86 degrees! Thankfully, Petfest sets up booths with a canopy.  It was a wonderful day for CILRA.  Four of our Labs found homes with previously approved adopters who came to see our dogs.  Milly & Curious George went home to Wisconsin, Apollo and Rufus found homes in Indy.  Volunteers Fran & Sandy Reigle, Marilyn Gates & Jenny Jackson with Rosie started out the day with set up.  Robbie & Frank Mitchell arrived with fosters Milly & Jersey as well as Dave & Kathy Wartman with Rufus.  The afternoon shift brought Jan Clark with Champ and Larry & Angie LaBathe with fosters Apollo & Curious George.  Margaret McCollough was there to help and Liz Dutton came with her CILRA adoptee Sadie to led a hand.  With dog tongues hanging out and the humans dripping a bit we all actually had one of the best Petfest days ever!
