Meet Maddie, a new girl to CILRA – and thank goodness! Maddie is a very sweet 3-ish year old, 50-ish lb, black Lab ‘blend’. She’s petite, but has a huge Labbie heart through and through! Maddie came to CILRA during the cold snap this winter, after living outdoors with no one to care for her. Madeline is great companion – she’s just happy to be with you, always ready to be loved. Whether you’re going to the store, or just relaxing on the couch, she’s happy if she can be included. She’s easy to walk on a leash, and just as content snooping around in the back yard. She knows sit and down, comes when called, and sits before being leashed. She’s had no accidents in the house, and will go into a crate, although she can be trusted in the house. She’s not been observed around small kiddos, but she has loved everyone she meets. Even though she’s smaller Lab and easy to walk, she’ll try to pull when she sees a squirrel. She is just such an easy and loving Labbie! Maddie would make a home complete either as an only dog, or with another. Her foster family has seen her pick up a toy and play happily alone, but she also loves to play with their other dogs (and might even play with their cat, if the cat would comply)! Maddie is up to date on all shots and has been spayed. She’s being fostered in Indianapolis, IN.
