I’m Kahn, a six-year-old yellow male. I’m truly a very lucky dog now. Not long ago, my former owner lost his home, and could no longer keep me. I was passed on to someone who only kept me outside. This was no life for a dog of my character, because I love human and dog companionship. I lost so much weight, and was bothered by bugs, bites, and even a dog bite. I was given a second chance by CILRA. Now my coat is growing back, a beautiful pale lemon shade. I am gaining weight and show a sunshine personality that matches the color of my fur. I get along perfectly with my two Lab companions, but cats are an unknown. I do love to chase squirrels, and will need a traditional fence, as I’m a bit of an escape artist. I know some commands: sit, down, paw, and I’m fine when alone with my canine friends in the house. I’m house-trained, crate-trained and love car rides, even long ones. I still need training walking on a leash, but adore long walks. I’m fostered on the SW side of Chicago.
