Duke is a very handsome, lovable 4 year old black Lab. He weighs approximately 70 lbs. and has gorgeous brown eyes and a strong build. He loves attention, especially ear rubs and belly rubs. He has a great appetite and his foster family has trained him to sit before he gets his meals. When walking, he listens well to his name and will sit and face you on command. He likes people and likes to play with his foster family’s dog. Cats and children are an unknown. Duke is good in the house, does not chew on things and is house trained. He will paw the back door or verbally let you know he needs to go out. Duke also is crate trained. He does pant a bit when going for a car ride but with more frequent, short rides and some training he should become much more relaxed. Duke is able to easily jump a 4′ fence so he would be best with a higher fence as well as boundary training. He will need a traditional high fenced yard if there are children in the home. Duke has also just completed treatment for ehrlichiosis. He is being fostered in the far northwest suburbs of Chicago.
