Peyton is a beautiful 4 yr old yellow female lab who acts a bit like a puppy. She is totally housetrained, has been obedience trained - knows sit, down, stay, walks well on a leash, and has loads of energy. She loves to play with other dogs - especially tug. She has never outgrown the 'chewing stage' and goes around looking for things she can carry and chew on. Peyton would be best in a home with older children. Peyton is very sweet and loves everyone and is a really nice, friendly, healthy lab. Peyton is fostered in Brazil, Indiana - a little over 1 hour west of Indy.

Tootsie is a beautiful 2 year old medium size black lab that is so sweet and loving. She was found by a kind woman that took her and her Mother Rosie in when they were abandoned. She loves to be with people of all ages, ignores cats and appears to be fine with children. She is very gentle when taking treats and does not pull on the leash. Tootsie would prefer to be in a home with another dog as she enjoys the camaraderie. She loves to roll and play in the snow! She is a very docile, mellow dog but likes her play time and pets from her fosters. She is crate trained and is learning simple commands from her foster Mom. Tootsie was found to be heart worm positive and has undergone her treatment extremely well. She had a very mild condition and is expected to make a full recovery. Tootsie is looking for her forever home with a family that will shower her with love that she will return with abundant gentle kisses. Tootsie is fostered in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago.

Hunter is a lively, energetic and happy young black Lab mix. At first he was very shy and nervous; however he has made remarkable progress in a short time due to love and his intelligence and his resilient Lab nature. Hunter gets along with other dogs’ very well, especially those his size. He would do very well in a home with other dogs or by himself. At first he will need extra attention, but soon will fall into a routine. Hunter is crate trained and we retreat to his open crate to rest. Intelligent and curious he has been quick to learn new skills and commands without much effort. This big boy is going to be a great companion and family friend. Hunter is fostered in Brownsburg, IN just west of Indianapolis.

My name is Earnhardt and I am 7 yrs old, 78 lbs and am full of energy and kisses. I love to play ball and chew on doggie bones. I love to play with other dogs and am kind to children. Cats are OK in my book also. My new home would be great if someone was home during part of the day so I could be let outside. There are 3 other labs in my foster home and we all have lots of fun together. I had to leave my former home when they had a new baby who had allergies to me. My ears need cleaning to help me from getting ear infections like so many labs have. I am a loving fellow and look forward to my new home. My foster family lives in St. John, Indiana which is in the northwest corner of Indiana and close to Chicago.

Hello, my name is Bosco. I am a 3 year old 65 lb black lab. I get along well with other dogs but I would rather chase a cat so I can't live with one! My tail never stops wagging and, if it does, just give me a smile and it will start up again. I am a very happy-go-lucky guy looking for the right family to love me. I am housebroken and have very good house manners. My foster family trained me to ring a bell when I have to go outside. My foster has allowed me to not be crated in the house and I have done well and I prefer to sleep on the floor next to my foster’s bed. I like to retrieve balls and am very fun to play with! I am a very loyal and loving dog looking for a forever home. I would prefer a home with adults only or a family with older children. This handsome guy is fostered in the south suburbs of Chicago.

*Adopted* Hello my name is George; I am 3 year old chocolate altered male. I was well taken care of by my owners but due to their health issues and my energy level they were no longer able to care for me. I am up to date on all of my shots until April and am on front line and heartworm preventative. I have lots of energy and love it when someone throws my football for me. I will bring it back time and time again as long as you will throw it. I am used to living with other dogs and cats, but could care less about them. I just want to be with my people! I am house-trained, and will let you know when I need to go out. I am secure enough to not to mark in the house but the yard is fair game. I don’t like to be left alone outside; I’ll just stand at the door and look in. I will go out with you and do my business and play, but when you go in, I want to go too! I am not a fan of going into the crate, but I do fine once I am in there though. After you get to know me you will find I don't even need to be put in that silly crate. I know how to sit, and could learn more very easily. I would like to be an only child but would be ok with a sibling. I am just a super sweet boy who wants your love and attention. I am being fostered in Greenfield, IN.

*Adopted* Rosie is an extremely sweet beautiful 5 year old black lab. She is very affectionate and wants to be around people all of the time. Rosie gets along fabulously with other dogs and would be best in a home with another dog as she likes to have a buddy. She ignores cats and appears to be fine with children. Rosie needs a home with lots of TLC as she is a bit skittish which will be overcome in a loving home with lots of attention. She is curious, listens well and her foster family is working on her house manners. She is crate trained but needs lots of encouragement to get in there! Obedience training would be a plus so she could learn to walk well on a leash even though she does not pull. Sweet Rosie was a Mom at one time and may have been kept in a kennel environment, but now is SO happy to be in her foster home and is looking forward to being in her forever home with a loving family. Rosie is fostered in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago.

*Adopted* Willow is a beautiful 3 year old female black lab. She was rescued from a shelter by a wonderful good Samaritan who took her to the vet and had her spayed and shots updated. At some point in her past Willow has gone through a basic training course. She definitely remembers sit, down and kennel and the correct way to walk on a leash is coming back to her really fast. Her rescuer says Willow loves to play basketball with her children-she keeps stealing the ball. Willow loves to play with other dogs, gets along great with people, is very nice inside and outside-definitely housetrained. Cats are fun furry critters to play with so she would be best in a cat-less home. Willow is fostered in Brazil, In., a little over an hour west of Indy.

*Adopted* Hi! My name is Moses and I am a loving 12 yr old chocolate lab. I recently came back to CILRA when my owner could no longer keep me. I sure hope there is another wonderful adopter to take me in and let me have a permanent home for the rest of my life. I am good with children and other dogs and would like to go for easy going walks with you. I know sit, stay and love to lay at your feet. During the day I like to lay with my doggie foster sister and warm in the rays of the sun. Come and see me. My foster home is on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

*Adopted* Shadow is a very gentle 60 lb black male about 4-5 yrs old. He is doing very well in his foster home and gets along easily with the other dog in his home. Shadow is also living with a cat and does very well. Shadoiw has good house manners and does not need to be crated. He has the run of the house when his foster mom is gone. Shadow is good on a leash and loves to go for walks. He is also a good candidate for going to a dog park. This wonderful boy knows some basic commands and will make a sweet and loving companion. He is fostered in Crawfordsville, IN - northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted* Cinder is a very sweet 17 month old black female who came from a kennel situation where she was not frequently socialized. She is coming along very, very well and is comfortable with the other dogs in her foster home pack. She ignores the cats. Cinder will need some patience as she gets used to her new home but has adapted quickly in her foster home. She still hesitates when going into a new situation, but with encouragement becomes comfortable. Cinder loves to have her doggie pets and cuddles. She is housebroken but prefers to be let out fairly often to keep this up. She does not need to be crated but would adapt with training. Cinder is located in Brazil, Indiana, west of Indianapolis off of I-70.

*Adopted* Abbey is as sweet as they come. Althought she has lived most of her life in an outdoor kennel she has adapted to being an inside dog very quickly. Abby is a 7 year old 50 pound black lab who is small in size but not in heart. She knows sit, down and drop; walks great on a lead and heals nicely. Abby comes when called and loves to run around when given the chance. While she is shy and quiet, she has a lovely personality. Abbey loves a good rub down and scratch behind the ears and she is such a good cuddler. Her foster family children love her gentleness. Abbey gets along well with the other lab in her foster home. She will require a bit of patience as new situations, sounds and lights can intimidate her. She is crate trained, but doesn't require one as she is housebroken and is very responsible when left alone. Abby is happiest sleeping in the company of someone. Abbey is fostered in northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted* Reggie is an awesome, friendly 80 lb. yellow lab. We call him Big Boy! He is good with other dogs and all people. Reggie is about 2 yrs old and is fostered in Illinois.

*Adopted* Shane is a 3-5 yr. old neutered male, chocolate lab. He weighs 70 lbs. He loves to carry a ball in his mouth both inside and outside. Shane walks well on leash, but always has to be in the lead. He has a slight limp of his right front leg and has had x-rays which show an old healed fracture with arthritis. This doesn't seem to slow him down, but he would do best on leash walks, with minimal running. When we noticed that Shane's eyes seem to be dilated, he saw a veterinary ophthalmologist and is diagnosed with Progressive Retinal Atrophy, which could affect his vision. So far, other than the dilated pupil, there seems to be no problem with his vision. Shane is crate trained, house broken and sleeps next to the bed at night. When there is no one to snuggle with, he will go in the crate for a nap. He gets along with the other 2 labs in his foster home but seems to ignore the cat. Shane has a sweet nature, an irresistible spirit, and will make a wonderful family companion. He is fostered in Noblesville, IN.

*Adopted* Hunter is a gorgeous 1 year old choc. male lab. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter by a wonderful dog lover, and then signed over to CILRA. Hunter LOVES to play - he is very energetic and always on the go. He is learning to walk nicely on a leash and doing very well with housetraining.. Hunter is at the right age for learning to play ball, frisbee and other fun doggy activities. He's happy and just dying to please. Due to his energy level, he would be best in a home with children 7 and up. Hunter gets along great with other dogs ,especially if they will play, and people of all ages. A no cat home would be best.. He is fostered in Brazil, In., just 1 hour west of Indy off I-70.

*Adopted* Jesse is a young puppy around 11 weeks old (11/28). She was found as a stray, probably abandoned, in front of an animal shelter in the early morning before the shelter was open. A good Samaritan saw her and she made her way to CILRA. Jesse is a "go getter". She keeps her foster family laughing. Jesse would love to be in a home with at least one other dog to play with and to learn from. She goes up and down the indoor and deck steps like a breeze. Jesse will also lay in your lap for a nap. She will need someone home at least part of the day to help with housebreaking and house manners. This sweet little pup is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted* Ben has spent the last few years of his life living in an outdoor kennel, but has learned to enjoy being a house dog again. Ben has great house manners, he doesn't get on the furniture and greets visitors with a sniff and tail wag but knows not to jump. He's also great on a leash. This handsome 9 year old is looking for a forever family with a quiet environment as he would rather lay at your feet than play ball. He gets along great with his two foster sisters and completely ignores the cats. This wonderful boy is fostered in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Jack (adopted) and Jill (adopted), a brother and sister duo, were found on the side of an Indiana road by an angel that knew enough to contact CILRA. They are healthy ahd happy pups who would love to find new homes. They can be adopted separately. Really Cute, Really Precious, Really Sweet, Really Funny, Really Entertaining, Really Smart, Really Cuddly, Really Good and Really Lucky...You can be "REALLY" lucky too. Oh by the way, they have Frito Feet, Buddha Belly and Puppy Breath! Big boned boy, Jack, weighs 20 lbs and his sister, Jill, weighs in at 15 lbs. Jack and Jill can't wait to get to their new homes! These little guys are fostered in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago.

*Adopted* Hooch is an adorable 5 yr old, 65 lb. black Lab, who loves everyone and lets them know it by the thumping of his tail when you enter the room. He wants to play with his foster brothers & sister, but they are not the most playful group. Hooch is a very submissive dog who would love to get pets all day long if he could. He does not pull while on lead, as a matter of fact, he stops dead in his tracks when he feels tension on the lead. He is very calm in the house and out, but he still has energy to play! He does not go on the furniture nor does he counter surf. He has trained the neighbors to come over to the fence so they can pet him. Hooch has only barked once in two weeks since coming into foster care. He met a few cats and sniffed them with curiosity, yet he wants to play with all the dogs he comes across. The children he has been with (ages 2, 7 & 12) just love him. If you would like to meet him he is being fostered in the South Suburbs of Chicago.

Hannah (adopted) is a 5 month old yellow lab who is the sibling of Ace (adopted). We have been told they are mixed with Golden Retriever but are strongly lab looking. They came from a shelter in Crawfordsville, IN and were the last of a litter of nine pups. Both are sweet as they can be and very social with other dogs. Should be able to adjust with cats also. They are brand new to a regular home so will be working on housetraining. Hannah and Ace both walk well on a lead. They have been around lots of people also. These two cute pups are currently fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted* Max is a delightful 6 yr old laid back chocolate labrador who is seeking a new loving home. He came to CILRA from a shelter south of Indianapolis. They recognized that Max was a great lab. Max would love an adopter who would take him on walks to help him lose a few pounds, plus he enjoys getting new sniffs around a neighborhood. He is housebroken and trustworthy in the house so does not need to be crated. Max is good with other dogs and probably would be OK with cats too. He is looking for a fun loving family who would like a lab to cuddle with on the couch. Max is fostered in Indianapolis.

*Adopted* Cassie is a 2 year old small, very happy, black female lab mix. She is good with other dogs and plays constantly with her fosters puppy. She is well behaved with a curious and active nature. She likes toys but needs training to not chew them up! Cassie is crate trained. She has not been cat tested. She has a high energy level, but she does settle down when needed. She sleeps in the bedroom on a pillow and doesn't jump on the furniture. She can be a bit nervous at times, however this will probably change when she gets to her forever home. She knows sit and responds well to "no" and is now being trained to stay. Cassie is around 50 pounds and could use some exercise to lose some weight. She walks best on a leash with a harness. She was exposed to children at an outdoor event and did fine with them and loved the pets they gave her. Cassie is fostered in the Western Suburbs of Chicago.

*Adopted* Steph is a small one year old female weighing in around 50 lbs. What Steph lacks in size is made up in her spirited personality. Steph loves to play ball, chase butterflies, play with insects, jump in puddles, and of course, play with other dogs. Steph is housetrained and will ring a bell hung on the door to let you know she has to go outside. She knows the commands sit and give paw. Steph gets excited when meeting new people and will jump up trying to get their attention. Her foster Mom is working on training her not to jump up. She enjoys walks but will need leash training as she tends to pull when something sparks her curiosity. Steph is cat friendly and loves children. Because of her exuberance she will be best in a home with older children that will participate in her training. Steph is a sweet girl looking for a loving home. This beautiful girl is fostered in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

*Adopted* Ollie is a very sweet and typical 12 week old black male puppy. His new owners quickly realized that he would be too much for them as they both worked. He is a purebred lab. Ollie is a smaller boy but he sure holds his own with the other dogs in his foster family. They love him. Ollie would love to have another dog in his new family. He is learning about cats. As a young puppy he would be best with older children and he will jump up a lot. He is not yet housebroken but is learning to go when let outside frequently. Ollie will bark loudly when in a crate, so having someone home during the day would be great. Short crate times will help him get used to it. If you have the time and patience for a baby puppy please contact us. Ollie is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted* Lola is one of the sweetest yellow labs we have ever fostered. She is a 5 yr. old big lab but oh so gentle! Lola is very easy going, housetrained and doesn't need to be crated. She gets along great with other dogs and loves people that will love her in return. She was very overweight when she first came to CILRA and has been on a diet and exercise program. She still has about 10 more pounds to lose. Lola likes to go for car rides, play ball and play with the other dogs in her foster home. She will need further leash training as she gets very excited to go for a walk. Her foster is working on this. Lola will make a wonderful addition to any family. Lola is fostered in Brazil, In about 1 hour west of Indy off of I-70.

*Adopted* Lady Bug is a 17 month old female who came to us as a very shy foster pup. She had been in an outdoor kennel for most of her life; she had been trained to sit, although she had not been socialized very well . Since being at her foster house, she has made leaps and bounds with her personality. She gets along with her two foster sisters. Lady has found the joys of playing like a puppy, something she was never allowed to do. She will require an extra bit of patience though as coming back in the house intimidates her, as well as some new situations.. She will require a yard with a fence. Lady would do best with another dog to keep her company; kids would be OK if they are older as she can still be a bit jumpy. Lady is housebroken and crate trained. She has had free run of the house at night. Lady came to us as a shy and scared pup but she is turning into a super sweet Lady! Lady is fostered on the SW side of Indianapolis.

*Adopted* Hello, my name is Braxton and I am a 3 year old male yellow lab. Everyone says I have big feet, but this just fits in with my big heart that is willing to love anyone who adopts me. I may weigh 88 lbs but am as gentle as a giant and I love children of all sizes. My foster’s grandchildren climb all over me and try to ride me like a pony and I am ever so patient with them. I love to retrieve anything that you will throw for me. I am crate trained but prefer to sleep in my foster’s bedroom on the floor. I love to go for a walk or go jogging but I need more training so I don't pull on the leash. A fenced yard would be preferable. I am a happy go lucky guy looking for the right family to love me! I would rather chase cats so I cannot live in a house with them. I am fostered in the northwest suburbs of a Chicago.

*Adopted* My name is CJ and you can say that at 9 months old, I am a giant puppy. This means I have a ton of energy so someone will need to be ready to play with me and be sure I get regular exercise, often. I really like going on walks, love to play ball and don't forget rope toys, too! My foster mom thinks I am pretty smart already as I know a few commands already but will benefit from obedience class. I get along with the other dogs in my foster home but constantly want to play with them, which they don't always want to do since they are way past the "puppy" stage. My new family will need to promise they can keep up with me and in return, I promise to be their most loyal companion. I am fostered in the near west suburbs of Chicago.

*Adopted* Max is a smaller 3 year old, 58 lb. male lab, with a heart of gold. He loves children, other dogs and ignores cats, but most of all he loves people. Max lived on a farm previously and was primarily an outside dog. When his owner passed away he came to CILRA to find his new inside home. At his foster’s home he has adjusted nicely to being an inside dog and is loving every minute of it. Max does not know how to play like most dogs but may get the hang of it some day by working with toys. He knows the sit command and seems to be very trainable to do more. He has caught onto house-training very quickly. He will need to learn some house manners as he is so anxious to meet people that he tends to jump up on them initially. His foster is working on correcting this too. Max is looking for someone who he can snuggle up to and love forever. Max is fostered in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago.

*Adopted* Howdy! My name is Cowboy and I would love to have a Forever Home with people that like to hang out & snuggle, watch some TV with me or take a walk. I am about 3 yrs old, I love to play with kids and other dogs. Car rides are really fun and I like to be around people. I am crate trained and walk well on a leash and I am getting better every day with my manners in my foster home because I am a quick learner!.. I know I am a lab mix but my personality is sweeter than sugar. I would love it if you came to meet me, I am in the South Suburbs of Chicago.
