Daphney is a wonderful 8 yr old yellow girl that just wants love and affection.  She is a gentle soul and is very well mannered, completely house trained, crate trained, good with kids, loves to play with small and large dogs as well as cats!  Daphney knows many commands and walks very well on a leash.  Due to financial issues her owner needed to give her up.  She is currently being fostered in the West Lafayette IN area.

This is Boomer, a 3 year old yellow male Lab. Boomer was sadly given up by a family who felt they didn't have the time for him anymore.  He is a very good boy with great manners.  All he is asking for is a home to love him as he has plenty to give back.  He is already trained and does not jump on people.  Boomer gets along with children and hasn't shown to have a mean bone in his body.  Boomer is fostered in Joliet, IL.

Reecie is a 5 yr old spayed chocolate female Lab.  She is a small Lab who weighs 50 lbs. and looks great!  Reecie is a little timid when first meeting new people, but warms up quickly.  She was very well taken care of by her previous owner.  She has great house manners and does not need to be crated, knows sit, down, wait and stay.  Reecie walks well on a leash and loves attention.  Her shots are up to date and she is on heart worm and flea preventative. She is very well behaved and laid back – the gray on her muzzle makes her look a lot older than she really is.  Reecie  would be best in a quiet home with older children.  She  is fostered in Brazil, IN, just 45 minutes west of Indy.

Chrissy is a 4 yr old black female Lab.  She was rescued from an owner that had stopped feeding her.  Chrissy needs to gain about 10-15 lbs to become a gorgeous Lab who will weigh about 65 lbs.  She has the energy level of a 2 year old – loves to play ball and will retrieve until you get tired.  She is very energetic so would be best with children around 7 and up.  Chrissy is housetrained, crate trained and gets along well with other dogs.  She is looking for a family who will give her the love she deserves.  Chrissy  is fostered in Brazil, IN, just 45 minutes west of Indy.

Brody is a gregarious 1 yr old chocolate Lab who has passed through 3 homes in his short life.  He is a bigger, tall Lab who weighs about 80 lbs with lots of affection to give.  He is a genuine sweetheart.  Brody loves to be with people and gets along fine with other dogs.  He does not do well with cats.  This boy will give sweet Labby kisses and is learning commands and does well in the house.  He is housebroken and walks on a lead with the proper collar.  Due to his size he would be best with older children.  Brody is very gentle but is just a big boy.  He would be a jogging buddy and will probably like the water.  Brody is fostered in Avon, IN which is a western suburb of Indianapolis.

Maggie is a beautiful 8 yr old black female who is as sweet as she can be.  She gets along well with all of the other dogs in her foster home and loves to watch and "slowly" chase a cat.  She should be fine in a home with only 1 or 2 cats.  Maggie was an outside dog so is learning her inside manners very quickly.  She has an old injury on her front ankle which causes a very slight limp but does not require any treatment.  She can takes walks easily but  would not be one to go on runs or chase a Frisbee.  She enjoys a good chew bone and sleeps on the floor in the bedroom at night.  Maggie will make a wonderful lab for a family who wants a dog to hug on.  She is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

Josie is a 15 month old 60 lb chocolate female who came to CILRA after being taken in by a good Samaritan.  She is a very smart girl with energy to go with her young age.  Josie is adjusting to crate training which was new to her.  She learns quickly and would benefit from a basic obedience course.  Currently she has learned "sit" and is picking up "stay".  Josie gets along great with other dogs.  She does like to play chase with the cat in her foster home.  She is quickly adjusting to being an indoor doggie and learning to walk on a lead.  Josie loves the kids in her foster home and loves to retrieve.  She is a fun loving girl and with some patient training will be a wonderful family companion.  Josie is fostered on the Southside of Indianapolis.

Hi my name is Slater and I am a 9 month old Lab mix pup. My family had to surrender me due to change in living situation. I am housebroken and crate trained. I will benefit from training classes as I have lots of energy. My manners are getting better and I do okay with kids (Mom says I can't jump on them). I live with 2 older Lab brothers who get impatient with me but I only want to play! If you have room in your heart and home for me, come visit. I am fostered in Downers Grove , Illinois.

*Adopted*Hi my name is Raven.  I am a beautiful little boy.  They say that I am about 1 & 1/2 year old Lab mix with a lot of energy to burn.  I really like other dogs and kids.  My foster Mom says I walk well on a leash and would do very well if you took me to a obedience class.  I love to play fetch and go for walks.  If I see a squirrel you might want to hold onto my leash a little tighter because I think they were put on this earth for me to chase.  I am completely crate and house trained.  If you would like to come and meet me (and play with me) I am being fostered in the South West Suburbs.

*Adopted*Hi my name is Topper and I am a gorgeous 8 year young chocolate male.  I LOVE to play ball and can beat a 2 yr old Lab to the ball, bring it all the way back and drop it at your feet. I love to play fetch – you throw it and I’ll bring it back no matter what it is! I’ve had some training as a hunting dog but don’t remember much but boy do I remember the obedience training-I am really good!  I listen really well to my foster mom’s commands-even when we see a squirrel on one of our walks!  I’m an exceptionally well behaved Lab and get along well with other dogs but not cats-they are to chase!  I’m a very happy Lab and would love to find a forever home where I am the top dog and get all the attention! I’m a big boy – 100 lbs., so would be best in a home with older children. I’m fostered in Brazil, IN about 1 hour west of Indy.

*Adopted*Missy is a 1 1/2 year old black Lab mix who weighs 50lbs.   She is a sweet girl who is very playful.  She loves to to have her belly rubbed and cuddle.  Missy loves all her bones and squeak toys.  She enjoys going outside and will require a traditional fenced yard.  Missy would benefit with some basic obedience training.  She does well with her sits and is working on some other commands.  Missy is crate trained and  sleeps there at night.  She gets along with dogs, cats are unknown. Missy is a super sweet girl who is looking for her forever home.  She is fostered north of Indianapolis in Noblesville.

*Adopted*Reecie is a 3 yr old 60 lb chocolate female who came to CILRA from a shelter where she went as a stray.  She has a sweet personality and loves to be right near her family.  She gets along well with the other Lab in the foster home but chases cats and squirrels.  She is active and would do best with children over the age of 8 yrs.  Reecie enjoyed being around the grandchild of the fosters.  She is learning to stay in her crate but is not fond of it.  This really nice girl is fostered in Indianapolis and will make a wonderful companion lab.  She will need a traditional fenced in yard.

*Adopted*Sadie is a special needs sweetheart!  She is about 4-5 years old and has a very fun and loving personality.  She is a happy dog that gets along great with children and other dogs.  She knows basic commands, she is house trained, walks well on a leash and does not go on the furniture.  She likes to just hang out and chew on her rawhide bones.  She is low maintenance and easy going.  She came to us with fractures in her right elbow which gives her limited mobility in the bending of her right leg.  That doesn't seem to stop her from running and playing with her foster buddy Luke.  She does however have a pronounced limp however it's not as noticeable when she moves at a quick pace. She is a charmer and is fostered in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago.

*Adopted*Max is believed to be about 2 yrs old and was found laying along a roadside.  He was taken in by good Samaritans who are now his fosters.  Max weighs about 85 lbs and is a gentle and laid back boy.  His demeanor is wonderful and he is awesome with kids per his foster family.  Max gets along with other dogs but we do not know about cats.  This wonderful Lab is fostered on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Cami is a sweet 1 year old black female. She is a very petite and has charming eyes and quiet disposition. She came to CILRA through a wonderful woman who connects animals from a remote animal shelter in Indiana with rescues like CILRA. Her new CILRA foster family, that was looking to adopt a dog, immediately fell in love with her and decided to adopt her. She now lives happily ever after in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago!

*Adopted*Buddy is a yellow Lab mix who is about 1.5 to 2 yrs old.  He gets along with other dogs and should be fine with children.  He does tend to chase cats but not to hurt them.  He just seems very enthralled with them.  Buddy was a stray who came to a shelter in Indiana.  Buddy loves people and loves to carry a bone or tennis ball around in his mouth.  He will sit for his food and to command.  Buddy would do well in an obedience course as he likes to please.  He is a very good "alarm" dog as he recognizes when there is something or someone new in the area.  Buddy will require a traditional fenced-in yard.  This lovely boy is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Jackie is a 6 month old black female puppy who came to CILRA with her sister and mom who is a yellow Lab.  We do not know the father of the pups.  Jackie is strongly Lab looking except for her ears which stand out a bit.  She currently weighs 54 lbs.  She is very sweet, a little shy at first but quickly warms up.  They were rescued by a good Samaritan from a situation where the owner could not afford to feed them.  This was shortly after the pups were born in June. Jackie is fine with other dogs and is good with cats but a little curious.  She needs a home where she will be given lots of pets and a chance to gain her confidence.  It should come quickly.  She will require a traditional fenced in yard.  She is housebroken, walks pretty well on a lead and could easily be crate trained.  Jackie is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Tommy is a 4-month-old male black Lab.  He is neutered, crate-trained, UTD on vaccinations, and walks well on a leash.  We are working on his housebreaking, and he is doing well with that when he goes outside on a leash.  He is very affectionate and extremely playful.  He loves to play with a tennis ball, and he wants to be with people as much as he can. He is content to be in his crate if people are not in the room with him, but if someone is in the room, he wants to be out with them. He will need a home where people have the time to play with him a lot and to work with his housetraining and other commands. Tommy is fostered in Columbia City, Indiana - northwest of Ft. Wayne.

*Adopted*Shadow is a 3.5 yr old black male who came to CILRA when his family could no longer keep him.  It was then discovered that he had hip problems which gave him quite a lot of pain.  Due to the generosity of CILRA supporters Shadow went to Purdue University Veterinary Hospital and received a total hip replacement!  He used to "bunny hop" across the yard in pain and now he jogs across the yard in a normal gait.  He will need to continue a program of moderate exercise daily to help him continue to regain lost muscle mass. No further surgery is expected.  His surgery was in September so he has completed his healing process.  Shadow loves everyone.  He had to greet everyone in the waiting area on his visits to Purdue.  Shadow is good with other dogs but has not been around cats.  He is gentle with children, is crate trained and house trained.  Shadow also walks well on a leash.  He loves tennis balls and after he is tired will lay at your feet and take a long nap.  Shadow wants to please his owners and will be a very loyal family lab.  He is fostered in Darlington, Indiana which is northeast of Crawfordsville and northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Abby is a 1 year old Lab mix female. She is spayed, housebroken, HW negative, and UTD on vaccinations.  She is very affectionate, loves other dogs and kids, and gets along fine with cats, as long as they don't run from her.  Being a puppy, if they run, she thinks they're playing with her, and she chases them.  She knows "no" and "sit" and she walks well on a leash.  Aside from her puppy energy, she is laid-back.  She loves to play with a tennis ball, but she still chews on anything within her reach.  Therefore, she will need appropriate chew toys.  She will listen to you if you tell her "no" and stops any inappropriate behavior immediately.  Abby wants to please, so she tries to do what you want her to.  She would do best with someone home with her, as she doesn't like to be left alone or put away in another room if people are home.  She still needs some gentle guidance on proper social skills like jumping up (she knows "off" if you remind her), and putting her feet up on the counter. She will be a wonderful friend to someone who wants a companion. Abby is fostered in Columbia City northwest of Ft. Wayne.

*Adopted*King is a big gentle black male.  He weighs 85 lbs, is about 3-4 yrs old and is a love bug and one who will form a very strong bond with his new family.  He rides well in a car and does not need to be crated in the house.  He walks fairly well on a lead and may have been lead trained in the past to heal as with a correction he will fall back in step.  King enjoys a loving pet and a good massage too.  He gets along well with other dogs and cats too!  He should be gentle enough to be around children 5 and up.  King is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*My name is Billi and I am a 7 month old female Lab mix puppy.  I am called a pocket Lab because I am petite, my foster parents figure I will probably only get as big as 35 pounds. I am housebroken and crate trained. I am good at bedtime; I stay in my crate while my foster parents are at work. I am very energetic and love to run around my foster parent’s big yard and play with my two temporary big brothers. I walk well on a leash and I know what NO means. I am learning to play fetch and I love stealing apples off the apple tree. I like to cuddle, give kisses and relax on the couch. I am being fostered in Northern Illinois and waiting for a new family to love.

*Adopted*Duke is a beautiful yellow male Lab, neutered, shots up to date, about 2 years old.  His tail is always wagging and he is always ready to play.  He loves people that pay attention to him, other dogs and cats.  Duke would be fine with children over 5.  He still has a lot of puppy energy so will require exercise.  He is housetrained and crate trained but seems to be ok when left alone and loose in the house.  Duke is fostered in Brazil, In. about 1 hour west of Indy off I-70.

*Adopted*Sam is the cutest guy.  He is about 9-10 months old.  He loves playing with his buddy Charlie and they run and run in the yard chasing each other.  Sam is good with all ages of dogs, fine with cats and should be good with children.  He is housebroken and crate trained.  He does still chew so keeping shoes and the remote up and away will be necessary.  Sam will benefit from leash training and would love some regular walks.  This very nice Lab (probably mixed some due to his ears) will make a wonderful family companion.  He is fostered Northwest of Indianapolis.

He would do well with an active family to take him on walks.  He is fine with kids and would love another dog to play with.  He is fostered on the Southside of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Daisy is the mother of CILRA puppies born on October 18.  She is a survivor.  Her rescuer later found out that Daisy had roamed the edges of the Wabash River for three months last summer and no one went to help her.  He found her in his boat one day and took her to his daughters home.  After 3 weeks of having a good diet Daisy was filling out her bony frame.  Then it became apparent that she was pregnant.  Ten days after coming to CILRA she whelped her five puppies and all were healthy.  All of us who have cared for Daisy have fallen in love with this gentle girl.  Her beautiful face draws you in.  Daisy will return to the playful Lab of her age once all of her hormones have returned to normal.  She will make a truly loving companion for a family.  She does not need to be crated and is housebroken.  She will need a regular fence.  Daisy gets along well with other dogs and cats.  She will need time to recover her figure as the pups have drained her and she is once again showing her ribs.  But this will be temporary.  Her pups are weaned and she is ready to go to her new loving home.  Daisy is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Tank is approximately 3 yrs old.  He is a happy Lab whose tongue is frequently hanging out in anticipation of what's coming next.  Tank gets along great with the two Labs in his foster home.  He is learning manners and commands such as sit, stay and lay.  Tank is crate trained and housebroken.  He loves his chew toys.  Tank is fostered in Terre Haute, Indiana.

*Adopted*Bella is a very sweet 10 month old black Lab who is a survivor.  Her mom died shortly after she was born after being hit by a car.  Bella gets along well with other dogs and was around outdoor cats before coming to CILRA.  She is adjusting to her crate and gets treats when she goes in.  Since she is still a puppy she loves to chew so having hard chew bones and toys will be good for her to redirect her energy.  Bella at first did not know what to do with a tennis ball, but now she loves to carry one around in her mouth.  Bella will love a home where she can get lots of exercise and with people who understand she is still a puppy.  Bella is fostered on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Jesse is a one year old black Lab (probably has a bit of a mix in her) who was found by a rescuer and taken to their local shelter.  She has a wonderful laid back temperament with other dogs and has gotten along with the cats in her foster home.  She may have been an outdoor dog and she is adjusting nicely to being inside with housebreaking and being crated while errands are run.  Jesse does well on a lead and enjoys being outside to play.  She will need a traditional fenced in yard as she is quick to spot a rabbit to chase.  Her fosters are teaching her some basic commands such as "sit".  Jesse loves a good doggie massage and a scratch behind the ears.  She is fostered in Lafayette, IN.

*Adopted*Charlie is about 8-9 months old and is a really sweet lab mix. He is about 45-50 pounds and has the color of a yellow lab but with longer hair like a golden. He loves to run and play with other dogs at his foster home and is housebroken. Charlie was abandoned at a home and the people cared for him until he came to CILRA. He is fine with cats and should be good with children. He would love to get a chance to sit in your lap! Charlie is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Tater is about 12 weeks old (11/1) and is a truly wonderful pup.  He may have a little mix in him but maybe not.  He loves to be with other dogs and is good with cats and young children.  Tater is crate trained and almost housebroken.  He is really catching on fast.  He loves to lean on people and sleep at the feet of his foster family.  A true love bug.  Tater will welcome being in his permanent home and growing up around his new family.  He is fostered north of Indianapolis in Cicero (Hamilton County).

*Adopted*Daisy is a very sweet yellow female about 1.5 yrs old.  She is great with other dogs and fine with cats.  Daisy was rescued from a shelter where she had been for a month.  She was so anxious to see people that she would jump up on the cage and not show well.  Daisy got in the car and was completely calm!  She just needed to be with people again.  She is crate trained and housebroken.  She sleeps on the floor of the bedroom at night without a problem.  She runs and plays with the other foster and has a great time.  Daisy will be a wonderful, loving family companion.  She will need a traditional fenced in yard.  Daisy is waiting for her new home and currently located northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*My name is Bea and if you are looking for a love-bug, I am hands-down, your girl. I am 3 years old and was at a shelter waiting for a nice Lab rescue to come along. My foster parents said I am good in the house, potty trained, and get along with other dogs. Being a Lab, I like to chase a bone and love to go for walks. I walk very well on the leash but if I see a squirrel, watch out! I adore a good belly rub and will sleep on the bed if you say it is OK. My next home should not have cats, but aside from that, I am all ready for a family to call my own. I am fostered in the western suburbs of Chicago.

*Adopted*Harley is a very sweet 8 yr old Lab looking for a new home.  He is an extremely well behaved boy in the house and otherwise.  He loves to be petted, being around people and his toys.  He gets along well with other dogs, cats are unknown.  Harley would be fine with children and he takes treats very gently.  He is housebroken of course and walks well on a lead.  Harley needs some reassurance during thunderstorms and likes to lean on his person to make sure everything is going to be OK.  This boy is so deserving of a permanent home.  He is fostered in Greenwood, Indiana - south of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Molly is a sweet, lovable 5-6 month old black lab mix. She has the prettiest coat with wavy hair down her back. Molly is housebroken and crate trained. She is good with both dogs and cats. Molly does have a habit of jumping up on people when she is happy so her foster is working to change that behavior. She would be best with older children. Molly walks pretty well on a lead and would love to go for walks to meet new people. This lovely girl is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Bubba is approximately 5 yrs old and a big love. He is gentle, and good with dogs and cats. He is a bit lazy though and needs to be taken on walks and exercised to lose some of the extra pounds he is carrying. His coat is a beautiful dark chocolate and so soft after his grooming bath. He is great in the house and does not need to be crated. At night he loves to lay on the cushioned bed on the floor in the bedroom. Bubba walks well on a lead too! This lovely boy is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Emmy is a very sweet 1.5 yr old black female.  She is the mother of the puppies that CILRA recently had listed.  She really deserves a comfortable loving home. Emmy gets along well with other dogs, but cats may be a problem since she was used to being outside and chasing critters in the fields.
Emmy is easy-going and gets along with children and people of all ages.  She is learning to walk on a lead and is housetrained.  This little girl will enjoy all the pets she can get.  Emmy is fostered in Brazil, IN - west of Indianapolis off of I-70.

*Adopted*Keejo is a handsome 14 month old black male.  He was sadly given up by a young man who left to serve our country in the air force.  He is completely housebroken, crate trained, cat friendly, walks fairly well on a leash, and is a quick study.  He knows sit, shake, down and to sit and wait before he begins eating.  He is also very vocal and will "speak" to you.  Keejo is looking for an active family to make his own.   He loves playing tag with is foster sisters and romping in the yard.  He would probably be best with older children simply because of his activity level.  Keejo is fostered in Terre Haute, IN.

*Adopted*My name is Monty!  You can call me a gentle giant because even though I weigh 90 pounds, I have been nothing but mellow and easygoing for my foster mom.  I get along with the other two Labs in the home, listen well and like to lay at your feet. CILRA was able to get me from a shelter when I lost my way from home and sadly, no family came for me.  I am fostered in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and am hoping to find a new family soon that will let me love them.
*Adopted*My name is Sirius and I am a 3 year old black male Lab who is just perfect. My family originally adopted me from CILRA as a puppy but life has take a few unexpected turns for them and they are heartbroken to have to find a new family for me. While I am a big and active dog, I am gentle with children. I have had obedience training, walk well on leash, loves playing fetch, stays off furniture, and am crate trained. I won't beg while you eat at the dinner table and will wait to eat my food from the bowl until you say it is OK to do so.  Did I mention that I always come back when called to do so?  I do need an outlet for regular exercise so my new family will need to "work" me regularly with walk and playtime.  I am fostered in the west suburbs of Chicago.

*Adopted*Sara is now ten weeks old (June 26). She is the smartest and brighest of puppies. She weighs 13 lbs and is totally lovable. She likes to get in your lap to watch TV in the evening. Sara loves other dogs and a new foster just came to her foster home. Sara adopted him right away and they are already sleeping side by side. She is helping him to get comfortable. This little sweetheart is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted* Zoe, Joe, Josh, Butch, Bo, and Maggie
are 6 week old (5-30) lab mix puppies, who were rescued from possibly being done away with by their owner. Mama is a lab, but papa is unknown. However, it is believed that at least part of the litter may have a lab father who was seen on the property. Of course, they are all adorable and deserving of loving homes. Joe, Josh, Butch, Sara & Maggie are fostered northwest of Indianapolis. Bo & Zoe are fostered in Darlington, Indiana which is also northwest from Indianapolis. These pups would love to have a chance to grow up in a home that loves them. Photos coming soon.

*Adopted*Dexter is a beautiful 2.5 yr old black male whose family could not longer keep him.  He was very sad at the shelter and was rescued by our foster family in Columbia City, Indiana, near Ft. Wayne.  He is very much a family dog, loves his foster family and gets along well with the other dogs.  He does like to chase cats so a home without the felines would be best.  Dexter is housetrained and crate trained. This wonderful Lab is ready to go to his new family and settle in once again.

*Adopted*Nero is a 5 yr old male chocolate sweetheart.  He is very laid back but loves to be right near his family members.  Nero gets along with other dogs and cats.  He is best with older children.  A family home that is quieter would probably be the best for Nero - to go along with his laid back personality.  Nero was quite thin when he first came to rescue but now is all filled out and has a beautiful coat.  He loves to ride in the car and does not need to be crated. This lovely boy is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Hilde is a gorgeous 4-5 year old female black Lab.  Hilde loves everyone-adults and children of all ages.  She gets along great with other dogs, is very well behaved in the house and outside in the yard.  Hilde loves to be with her family receiving lots of attention.  She likes to play fetch with her tennis ball, go for walks and ride in the car.  She will be a great addition to any family.  Hilde is fostered in Brazil, IN

*Adopted* I am a 5 month old chocolate Lab and my name is Rusty.  My foster family thinks I have very beautiful eyes.  My foster mom is very proud of me because I now know to go outside to do my business.  And I am learning some new commands too!  I love playing with the kids in the house and romping with the other dogs.  I sleep in my crate and try my best to be good in the house.  But, remember I am a puppy.  Although I love my foster family, I am looking forward to going to my very own home.  We are in Fishers, Indiana which is on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

*Adopted* Hi everyone.  My name is Champ.  I am an adorable 2 yr old chocolate boy with a lot of love to give.  My first foster Mom named me Champ because she said that I had to be one to get through my rough beginning.  I don't remember anything before getting hit by the car but it has been busy ever since.  At first the doc was going to try fix my back leg but it wouldn't work so they had to remove it.  Then they found out I was heartworm positive and I had to be treated for that.  Once I was all healed I took a road trip to my new foster home in Tinley Park IL.  I ride in the car like a gentleman, am crate trained, walk very well on a leash, love to play with my foster brothers and sisters and I like kids & cats!  I am starting to get used to un-carpeted floors and according to my foster I really behave well.  I would love to lay by someone on the couch and get pet all day long or play outside.  If you have a lot of love to give and would like to meet me, just let me know.

*Adopted* Mickey is a wonderful  75 pound 3 year old yellow male who came to CILRA from Michigan.  This guy loves to roll in the morning dew so he gets his daily wash.  He is just waiting to shower his love on his new family.  Mickey gets along with other dogs, is good with children and was comfortable with a house full of people on Mother's Day.  He just loves everyone.  Older children might be best as he will steal a treat if he has the chance. Mickey is crate trained.  He does not like to go in and requires a treat, but once inside he is content.  He loves retrieving balls, running after the other dogs and generally having a good time.  Mickey walks pretty well on a lead and he loves to be brushed.  He is fostered in Noblesville, IN north of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*Trey, age 1 1/2 yrs. is one of our January Labs who required extensive veterinary care.  He was hit by a car in January, found by a good Samaritan who contacted Animal Control and he was brought to the Purdue Veterinary Hospital.  They were able to repair his many fractured bones.  Now his philosophy of life is "The wonderful thing about Labradors is Labradors are wonderful things, their tops are made of rubber and their bottoms are made of springs!" Trey never let his many injuries/surgeries keep him down for long. Now that he is healed he is ready to find his forever home.  He is now getting out of his crate for short periods and does very well with housebreaking.  He is also learning house manners.  Trey would prefer an owner who likes to go for long walks and eventually jogging.  He is a young boy with energy.  He is learning to walk on lead with a gentle leader and comes when called.  He is probably a bit too interested to live with cats but is fine with other dogs.  Trey would love to go to an obedience course.  This wonderful boy is fostered in Lafayette, Indiana.

*Adopted*Dixie is a sweet 2 year old yellow female weighing in at 68lbs.  She is crate trained, housebroken, cat friendly, and walks well on a leash.  She would probably be best as an only dog as she tends to be the alpha.  She loves to play with a tennis ball and will entertain herself with the ball.  She would love to have a big yard and kids to play with!  Dixie is fostered in Terre Haute.  One look in her eyes and you'll be in love.

*Adopted*Midnight is a 9 month old Lab mix who is looking for a new home after her owners suffered financial problems and foreclosure.  She weighs 65 lbs and loves to play with other dogs.  She does not hurt cats but tends to give chase too much for their comfort.  Midnight is learning not to jump up on people but would be best with children over 8 years old.  She loves to give little sweet kisses.  Midnight is housebroken and so far has not needed to be crated.  She would make a wonderful walking and running companion.  She is fostered northwest of Indianapolis.

*Adopted*My name is Blade and I am a five years young male black Lab. If a Lab is what you are looking for, then I am your man because I love to play ball, go for walks and eat.  What else could you ask for? There are two other Labs in my foster home and we get along great. My foster parents have been letting me sleep on the floor next to their bed because I've been such a good boy. They say I have a serious case of "happy tail" which means that my tail constantly wags because I'm just so happy all the time.  So if you don't mind a little tail in your face now and then, come out and meet me.  I'm fostered in the Chicago area and anxiously await a new family to call my own.

*Adopted*Bear is an 8 month old black, Lab/golden retriever mix. He will be a big fellow when fully grown. His personality is that of a teddy bear - he is very patient, easy going, loves to play ball and Frisbee. Bear gets along great with other dogs, is housetrained, crate trained (doesn't need it) very well behaved in the house. He knows sit and stay but would benefit from an obedience class as he really pulls hard when walking on a leash. In spite of his size he is all puppy at heart-he is always happily wagging his tail waiting for someone to play with him. Bear is fostered in Brazil, IN, just 1 hour west of Indy.

*Adopted*I'm Stella a petite 6-7 month old Lab mix puppy! I was picked up as a stray and fortunately CILRA got me to a foster home in the nick of time! My mom says I am very smart and already know several commands! I am crate trained and housebroken, although I sometimes forget when I am playing. I like my foster brothers and the Labby who lives behind us. I can play fetch for hours and love chewing my bones! I am fostered in Downers Grove Illinois so come and throw me a ball and you just might take me home!!

*Adopted*Maddie is the cutest 6 month old chocolate Lab puppy.  She was surrendered to a shelter because her owner could not handle a pup.  Maddie is a beautiful girl and is probably going to be on the larger size.  She is great with other dogs and children.  A good game of tug makes her happy.  She is crate trained and almost housebroken.  Maddie is very smart and a quick learner.  She will make a wonderful addition for her new family.  Maddie is fostered on the northeast side of Indianapolis in Fishers.
